UK’s favourite ‘TV’ family back on Christmas day

Christmas day would not be the same without presents, turkey, mince pies and the family gathered on the sofa to tune in to the ‘Royle’ family Christmas special.

Fans will be pleased to know that 2009 will be no different as Jim Royle (played by Ricky Tomlinson) and his loveable family will be back on our screens on Christmas day on BBC One at 9pm.

The hour long special was shot on location at The Pie Factory in late 2009. Reviews suggest that viewers are in for a right, ‘royle’ treat. Enjoy!
