It is hard to believe that just over three years ago The Pie Factory was a derelict food factory, full of decaying meat products. Three years on and we have a thriving production base and a home to just under 20 creative companies.

You may be aware that the original plan was to knock down The Pie Factory at some stage in the development. However, plans have since changed and The Pie Factory is now very much at the heart of MediaCityUK and firmly on the masterplan. What we have here is much more raw and gritty than the shiny new buildings but totally complements what is being built next door.

We’ll all be eating cake and maybe having a glass of fizz (or two!) this evening to celebrate.
